We held our external stakeholder meeting with experienced sector architects, the president of the Chamber of Architects and valuable academicians of Alanya University Department of Architecture.
Head of Department's Message
Architecture embodies the consciousness of navigating the space-time duality. It represents the endeavour to design spatial environments within a temporal context, creating spaces that enrich our lives. At the Department of Architecture, our primary aim is to foster creativity, a fundamental objective in every design discipline. Our academic staff, experts in their respective fields, are dedicated to raising awareness of the architectural profession. They guide our students in transforming interdisciplinary design knowledge into practical application, aligned with our architectural education program. The goal of Architectural Education here is multifaceted: to cultivate the ability to think critically, question, research, and generate innovative solutions to new problems; to encourage collaboration and healthy competition; to instil respect for all beings, acknowledging the intrinsic value of both living and non-living entities, and to empower future architects to create spaces that enhance the value of the future.
In this dynamic journey, we focus not only on nurturing the minds of our students with theoretical knowledge but also on providing them with the practical skills necessary for the real world. We believe that architecture is not just about buildings and spaces but about the stories they tell and the lives they touch. Therefore, our curriculum is designed to foster a deep understanding of cultural, historical, and environmental contexts, enabling our students to design with empathy and innovation. Our graduates are not just architects; they are the visionaries of tomorrow, equipped to create sustainable and meaningful change in our world. With this vision, I invite you to join us in shaping the future of architecture, where every line drawn and space created contributes to a more inclusive, sustainable, and beautiful world.
