Smart Design Policies is an international, double-blind peer-reviewed journal published annually by Alanya University. The journal offers an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to examine how smart design principles and policies are developed, implemented, and assessed across diverse contexts. Its scope bridges design, materials science, artificial intelligence, and computational methods with the ethical, social, and regulatory frameworks that shape human and habitat studies. Key areas of interest include policy and governance models for smart design; sustainable and resilient solutions such as intelligent systems, adaptive materials, and digital fabrication; AI-driven and computational design processes including machine learning and parametric design; ethical and social dimensions of innovation, equity, and inclusivity; sustainable materials and life-cycle assessments; and human–habitat interactions that influence behaviour, well-being, and accessibility. The journal publishes original research, reviews, theoretical contributions, case studies, and policy briefs that employ rigorous methodologies and present clear findings or implications.
